These are my personal favorite activities to do with my students! Students step into the role of the president during ten of America's biggest historical crises from Theoore Roosevelt navigating the coal strike crisis to Reagan figuring out how to "open China" and gain leverage in the Cold War, these are game changers! Working in teams, they analyze evidence, debate possible solutions, make difficult decisions, and then compare their choices with what actually happened in history.

These simulations build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and historical reasoning in an unforgettable way while making the content stick.
