A slideshow first introduces key aspects about the Red Scare to students before they are given one of 16 role cards representing real historical figures involved in the Red Scare. From Walt Disney and General Marshall to Richard Nixon and Langston Hughes, Lucille Ball, and Julius Rosenberg- this McCarthyism Simulation will get students engaged and having fun while learning a lot!

This lesson will take about 60-75 minutes but if they already know about the Red Scare, you could do it in about 40 minutes.
